Yeah, I know I said I wouldn't make a GIR model...
but I just need to test how effed-up my modeling program is. The GIR model is less than 40,000 polys and my comp is barely able to deal with it in Lightwave Modeler (Layout on the other had, runs beautifully) and I can't figure out what the hell could be wrong. To put things in perpective for you non-3D-types, my current make of lightwave (v8.5) is supposed to be able to handle 10 million polygons before it crashes, so 40k is hardly a drop in the bucket. So yeah, there you go...maybe I'll even get around to animating him one of these days  |
